Choosing the lush green island of Thasos, our beloved Jen and Paul flew from Liverpool with a clear vision: To have a beach wedding that would combine nature, comfort, and a splash of bohemian chic. We love a bit of sand in our shoes, so naturally, we were thrilled to help. The selected venue had a special meaning to the couple, as this is where the wedding proposal took place…An admittedly stunning space! Our deco team complimented the bohemian vibe with a collection of rattan, glass and wooden objects; while the flower arrangements zeroed in the quintessential Greek tree, with elegant olive branches and white wild flowers at the heart of our art de la table. The guests were offered a cold glass of champagne upon arrival, which also featured their seat allocation tag. Everyone relaxed around the candy and refreshment bar, where traditional Greek and English flavours set the tone for the evening, while enjoying freshly made cocktails. The bride, in true Greek style, arrived at the venue on a boat, arising from the waves like a foam-clad mermaid...while the sweet notes of a violin filled the atmosphere with romance and nostalgia. After the completion of the ceremony, everyone was led to their tables where a mini custom ouzo bottle and glass were placed in each seat as favours. Ever passionate for detail, we placed scented candles and wax melts across the space, to create, after the bride’s request, an all-sense encompassing experience. Sparklers, dried flower confetti, coloured smoke torches all delivered that extra oomph to the lovely party that ensured, and which had it all- from live violin covers to rock, to Greek folk music... but most importantly, a lot of love and happiness.
